Iain was able to support and advise us when we were planning trips within India. We are accustomed to being independent travellers, but had been daunted by the scale of the country and by the bewildering number of options for using public transport. We knew, however, that we did not want a group tour.
Having listened to our needs and taking account of our interests in advance of our trip, Iain was able to suggest suitable destinations and, using his extensive knowledge of people and places in India, he was happy to organise safe and reliable routes and transport options for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trips to Hampi and to Panaji and loved the fact that we were able to combine the feeling of travelling independently with the knowledge that Iain had come up with suggestions which made the most of our time and allowed us to travel safely and cost-effectively. We also appreciated the fact that if any problems had arisen, we would have been able to contact him.
We would highly recommend Iain’s travel advice to others in our position. As he lives, works and has travelled extensively in India, he has a wide knowledge of the country and how things work from which to draw when making his suggestions.

I had a fantastic trip to India- very largely due to Iain's recommendations, planning and attention to detail. It was a complicated itinerary visiting Delhi, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Srinagar, Amritsar, Agra and Kolkata but the internal travel including train journeys ( an amazing experience !) all went smoothly.
I would never have attempted such an ambitious itinerary or done so many interesting things or stayed in such a variety of places- including a house boat- without Iain's input and recommendations based on personal experiences.
I will definitely ask him to help me again on any future visits.

I met Iain in 2015 on my first trip to India. He met us at the airport in Kolkata and from the first moment I knew we would be safe in his care.
His leadership skills were so natural and I greatly appreciated his attentive and all encompassing ability to keep us safe.

The confidence and competence of Iain was something we all relied upon from the very start of our Indian experience. His knowledge and ability to ‘get things done’ behind the scenes as well as in full view.
He is such an approachable guy and coped with all enquiries and information from day-to-day life in India to the sights we were escorted to.
I will be first in the queue to explore more of this incredible, diverse and challenging country with confidence I would be in good hands and get to fully experience all that India has to offer.

Iain led our group on wonderful, insightful tours of local villages and towns as well as fascinating sightseeing trips to Agra and Delhi. He was a confident, caring, responsible and attentive guide and would always make sure we all felt included.
Some of the group had never been to India before and he went out of his way to reassure them and build their confidence in environments that could sometimes feel overwhelming.

Having witnessed Iain organising and calmly guiding a group of 14 definitely overawed travellers through Kolkata's frantic main station onto the right train at the beginning of a trip in South India and easing our path for the next 2 weeks I have no hesitation in recommending Iain for organising stress free travel and good company.
